A second Durban Conference, as a follow-up to the previous meeting in 2001 on racism, will be held in Geneva in April 2009, under the auspices of the Human Rights Council of the United Nations.

Preparatory meetings, from October 6 through October 18, are being held to negotiate the final document which is divided into five chapters. Each chapter is turned over to a group of countries, and one of those countries is designated as «facilitator.» The facilitator of the Western European group is… Turkey.

While Morocco is close to being admitted under its special «advanced status», and Turkey’s membership is being accepted by many as a foregone conclusion, Russia is the only country that has very little chance of being admitted. Russian leaders have said that they want to distance themselves from the EU which they regard as Islamized, just as they want to distance themselves from «Judeoamerica».
