4 musulmanes franceses piden que no se lea un libro de Voltaire

Posted by Spanish Eowyn en 9/marzo/2006

El libro en cuestión se llama “Fanatismo o Mahoma el Profeta”:

Voltaire, an 18th-century philosopher, famously said, “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.” Now, 265 years later, in a letter to the mayor of Saint-Genis-Pouilly, four Islamic activists demanded that his play, “Fanaticism, or Mahomet the Prophet,” which uses the founder of Islam to lampoon all forms of religious frenzy and intolerance, not be read – saying it was an “insult to the entire Muslim community.”

‘saying it was an “insult to the entire Muslim community.”’

well, you know what happens when the ‘entire Muslim community’ is ‘insulted’. More terrorism and intimidation; more riots all around the world; more fanaticism; more calls to teach the decadent West a good Islamic lesson of blood, like 9/11 and 7/7.

Well, basically, when Muslims are insulted, they just become better Muslims and start following their prophet’s teachings a bit more closely.
